What is paper trading?
Paper trading, also called simulated trading, means placing practice trades that are not sent to a real market. You trade on live market prices, but no money changes hands. Simulated fills are estimates. Live fills can differ because of order size, speed and liquidity.
It is how you learn a strategy, test a new setup, or get comfortable with the order screen before you put real money behind it.
How simulated trading works in Trade Ideas
Simulated Trading runs on the web or in Trade Ideas Pro. You use the same Stock Scanner, Stock Screener, charts and Holly AI Signals as a live account, so the habits you build carry over when you switch.
In Trade Ideas Pro, Brokerage Plus shows your simulated positions, open and closed trades, and profit and loss, and lets you place one-click orders. Money Machine also has a Simulated Mode, so you can watch automated trading work before it touches real money.
Who uses the Trade Ideas paper trading simulator
New traders use it to learn without risk. Experienced traders use it to try a new strategy, a new alert, or a new time of day before going live. Investors use it to practice taking Holly signals and deciding when to exit or hold.
New to trading? Trade Ideas gives beginners the premium experience, with ready-made channels in every plan and the free Trading Room. Start with Trade Ideas for beginners.
